COVID 19 Update
Equinox is offering Bulk Billed Telehealth appointments to support patients that are physically distancing. Your doctor can call you to provide prescriptions, pathology and diagnostic request forms and attend to your general medical needs.
As of November, 2020, Medicare has applied eligibility criteria for patients seeking bulk billed telehealth services. Please speak to the reception team to check your eligibility. Reception phone is 9416 2889.
Face to face appointments are available and can be booked online or by calling reception. Some of our GPS are only offering telehealth appointments online, if you wish to see them face to face, please call reception to check their availability.
In response to COVID 19, our counselling services are all currently being offered via Telehealth. Your counsellor will be able to provide access details.
Our Osteopath services are currently suspended until further review.
Waiting List Update November 2020
Equinox has currently closed the waitlist for new patients. With over 130 patients currently waiting for a first appointment, we have closed the waitlist until we have been able to bring these patients into the practice. We will review this regularly and hope to reopen the waitlist soon. People already on the existing waitlist will remain on it and we look forward to meeting with you in the near future.
Equinox sees patients on an appointment basis. Our standard appointments are 20 minutes long. If you think you need a longer appointment to discuss complex or multiple issues, please advise reception when booking. All new patients are booked in for a long appointment (40mins) for their initial visit. Due to high demand for our services, our waiting list for new patients can get long. We ask that all new patients consider the needs of others and confirm their attendance or cancel their appointments if they no longer require them. We can fit two existing patients into the time slot if it is cancelled with enough notice!
Emergencies presenting to the clinic will be seen as a priority and our staff will try to contact you if there is any unforseen delay or if your GP has been called away.
If you require an interpreter service (a language other than English or services for hearing impaired clients) these can be organised, but please advise reception at the time of booking.
In order to ensure that our Drs can provide the highest standard of care, Equinox only services clients that reside in Victoria. Patient safety is of the highest importance to us, and we are unable to provide adequate follow up and support to clients living interstate.
All General Practice visits and most pathology charges are direct billed to Medicare (Bulk Billed). Patients without a Medicare Card are charged the Medicare Rebate Schedule Fees and these fees are payable on the day of the visit. Reception can advise you of any potential fees when booking your appointment.
To speak to a counselling services intake officer, please call THH on 9865 6700 and let them know that you would like to see a counsellor at Equinox. They will advise you on the intake process.

Counselling fees are charged on a sliding fee scale based on your income. The THH counselling service intake officer can provide information on what fees may apply to you.
Osteopath services can be booked either online or via reception on 9416 2889. No referral needed. Clients on GP prepared Team Care Arrangements will be able to claim Medicare rebates, and there is no wait list for Osteopathy. New patients are welcome.
